Medica lifts dividend 13% as higher sales boost profit

Teleradiology services provider Medica posted a 7% rise in first-half profit, boosted by sales at its Nighthawk after-hours business. Pre-tax profit for the six months through June rose to £4.7m, up from £4.4m on-year. Revenue rose 18% to £22.0m and the company declared an interim dividend of 0.85p per share, up 13% on-year. 'Medica has consistently delivered year-on-year double-digit revenue growth and these results show that the company's high-quality clinical service remains important to its clients,' chairman Roy Davis said. 'Medica is investing in infrastructure and technology to support future growth and continues to provide an attractive environment for reporters looking to broaden their career.'
