CentralNic, the internet platform business which derives revenues from the global sale of domain names, has appointed Iain McDonald as a non-executive director, with immediate effect. McDonald is a specialist technology and e-commerce investor and is an adviser to the William Currie Group, a private family office founded by financier Bill Currie. During McDonald's time with WCG, he has contributed to their strong track record in investing in early stage companies, which include investments in ASOS, The Hut Group, Eagle Eye Solutions, Anatwine and Metapack. Previously, Iain was a top-ranked retail and e-commerce analyst. CentralNic says McDonald will bring this expertise in rapid growth technology companies to the company as it looks to continue on its organic and acquisitive growth strategy.
