CAP-XX net losses widen

CAP-XX, a world leader in the design and manufacture of revolutionary thin-form supercapacitors, posts a net loss of AD.3m for the six months to the end of December - up from AD0.9m last time. It says this is due to increased overheads of AD457,000 (1H15 AD2.7m vs. 1H14 AD2.1m) attributable to: - the development of large supercapacitor modules (including TruckStart); - increased licencing activity; - design enhancements to improve performance from the existing product range; - evaluation of alternative lower cost raw materials; and - commissioning of new production plant and machinery. Total revenue of AD1.6m was down 27% due to the deferment in orders, as announced by CAP-XX on 12 October, and the increased lead time for new projects to scale up to full volume. Story provided by
