Burford Capital profit rises 19% on higher investment income

Litigation financing group Burford Capital posted a 19% rise in annual profit after it posted a large rise in investment management and insurance income.
Pre-tax profit for the year through December rose to $315.5m, as revenue jumped 23% to $420.4m.
The company declared an annual dividend of 12.5c, up 14% on-year.
'The big question this year was whether 2017's explosive growth was a one-time anomaly,' chief executive Christopher Bogart said.
'These results show that it was not.'
