Simon Cole, Chief Executive of 7digital, said:

"I am delighted by the strong support we have received from high quality institutional investors in this significant fundraise which will bridge us to profitability. We are at a point of inflection both in the company's fortunes and in the industry as a whole, and this new equity funding provides 7digital with the funds to really capitalise on its growth opportunity. As streamed music becomes a mass market proposition, 7digital's global technology platform, our catalogue of some 60m tracks and our ability to assist with licensing are a powerful combination that enables large new players to enter this market; our recently announced contracts with MediaMarktSaturn provide examples of this. The Capital Raising gives us the platform to meet the demand that is in our current sales pipeline."

Capitalised terms used in the Placing Announcement shall have the same meanings in this Announcement, unless the context provides otherwise.
