                 IDA DOME - Resource Definition Drilling Update


Kalahari Minerals plc, the AIM listed mining exploration and evaluation group
with a portfolio of copper and base metal prospects in Namibia, is pleased to
provide an update released by Extract Resources Ltd ('Extract' or 'the 
Company'), in which Kalahari's subsidiary, Kalahari Uranium Limited, holds a 
36.2% interest.  This update includes details on the resource definition 
drilling being completed at Extract's Ida Dome prospects.


Extract (ASX / TSX code: EXT) is currently working the Ida Dome and Rossing
South prospects on the wholly owned Husab Uranium Project in Namibia. Recently
received chemical assay drilling results from Ida Dome continue to return
encouraging results that will be incorporated in the maiden resource model.

Details

Drilling at the Ida Dome prospects continues with 29,300 metres (49%) of the
60,000 metre resource definition drilling programme now completed. The programme
commenced in June 2007, in which the Company established an exploration target
of 25 - 41 million pounds U3O8 for Ida Dome alone. The Company confirms that
work to date indicates this target remains well on track, particularly with the
mineralisation being much stronger at depth.


An update on drilling progress versus the original planned resource definition
programme is shown in the following table. The initial 60,000 metre resource
definition drilling programme has been aimed at completing first pass prospect
drilling on 80 metre spaced lines with drill holes on each line completed on 40
to 100 metre centres, based on the ease of site access. The prospects that have
had the most drilling completed (Garnet Valley, Hook, New Camp and Ida Central)
are expected to be included in the Company's maiden resource. Planned initial
drilling rates on each prospect will continue to be reviewed and adjusted to
reflect Company priorities.

Background

The Ida Dome area contains seven known outcropping uranium occurrences and is
located at the southern end of the Company's wholly owned Husab Uranium Project.
The uranium mineralisation in the Ida Dome area tends to be hosted by
uraniferous leucogranites (alaskites) that occur as dykes, veins and irregular
anastomosing zones. Some of the sediments occurring around and within the
alaskites are also mineralised.



Drilling update

Five drill rigs are currently assigned to resource definition drilling at the
Ida Dome prospects. A sixth rig is expected on site next month. Three core rigs
are operating at Garnet Valley and the Hook prospect completing holes targeting
along strike and depth extensions to uranium mineralisation identified thus far.
No assay results have yet been received from the Hook area drilling, but hand
held spectrometer surveys of the RC drill spoils has indicated broad zones of
anomalous uranium mineralisation within leucogranite.

The recently received results from the Garnet Valley RC and diamond drill holes
(GRC and GDD series holes) confirm that potentially economic zones of uranium
mineralisation continue along strike to the north of previously released results
and at depth. Detailed results are shown in Appendix 1.



Preliminary drilling has been completed at the New Camp prospect with these
results to be reviewed and incorporated in the maiden resource model. This
target area is characterised by outcropping uraniferous alaskite and was
highlighted by anomalous radiometric results from air borne and hand held
spectrometer surveys. Two legacy drill holes were also completed by a subsidiary
of Anglo American in the late 1970s. Highlights from assay results received
include: 37 metres grading 302 ppm U3O8. A complete list of drilling results is
shown in Appendix 1.



Two rigs are now operating at the Holland's Dome prospect: one core rig; and one
RC rig. The Company is pleased to have commenced work at this priority target
area now that adequate access tracks have been completed and looks forward to
following up on the impressive results returned from legacy drilling and hand
held spectrometer surveys of up to 1.41% eU (released 29th March 2007).  Hand
held spectrometer surveys of the RC drill spoils and drill core have indicated
broad zones of anomalous uranium mineralisation. Mineralisation, at this
prospect is hosted within leucogranite, calc-silicate and skarn with locally
high grades found proximal to contact zones between the leucogranite and
sediments.



Resource update

A geophysical crew has been booked to complete down hole spectrometer surveys
from all holes where chemical assay results have not yet been received. The crew
is expected to commence work on the Ida Dome prospects next month. Once these
results are available they will be incorporated in a maiden resource estimate
that will be focused on the Garnet Valley, Hook and New Camp prospects.
Insufficient drilling has been completed at Holland's Dome, Ida East and Swakop
West for these prospects to be included in the maiden resource.



Drilling of the Ida Dome targets will continue as the Company looks to complete
the first phase of resource definition drilling aimed at defining a resource
base that will underpin a profitable and sustainable mining operation.



The Company would also like to announce that drilling is progressing well on the
Rossing South discovery and updates will be made in subsequent releases as
information becomes available.


The information in this report that relates to Exploration Results, Mineral
Resources or Ore Reserves is based on information compiled by Mr Andrew
Penkethman who is a Member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists. Mr
Penkethman is a full time employee of the company.  Mr Penkethman has sufficient
experience which is relevant to the style of mineralisation and type of deposit
under consideration and to the activity he is undertaking to qualify as a
Competent Person as defined in the 2004 Edition of the 'Australasian Code for
Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves'. Mr
Penkethman consents to the inclusion in this report of the matters based on his
information in the form and context in which it appears.

Reference to hand held spectrometer results refers to use of a Company owned
Exploranium, GR-135 Plus, hand held spectrometer. The uranium values are
recorded as parts per million (ppm) eU which is equivalent to ppm U. Whilst
results from these units provide an indication of uranium mineralisation they
may also be affected by uranium mobility and disequilibrium. These factors
should be considered when interpreting eU information whilst waiting for
confirmation chemical assay results.

In accordance with JORC Code guidelines the potential quantity and grade is
conceptual in nature and there has been insufficient exploration to define a
Mineral Resource and it is uncertain if further exploration will result in the
determination of a Mineral Resource.

Notes

Kalahari Minerals Plc is an AIM listed mining and exploration group with a
portfolio of copper and base metal prospects within western and eastern central
Namibia. Two of the project areas, Dordabis and Witvlei, are prospective for
sediment hosted copper mineralisation consistent with the world class Zambian
Copper Belt. A third project, Ubib, is believed to be prospective for gold
mineralisation and is nearby the operating Navachab gold mine.



The Company also has a 90% interest in the highly prospective Namib Lead Zinc
Project centred on the old Namib Lead Mine, which was an underground operation
from 1965 - 1992. Previous mine studies (non JORC compliant) indicate surface
tails and underground mining reserves of 1.65 million tonnes at 5.7% zinc, 1.6%
lead and 40.2 g/t silver. Kalahari aims to take the project to bankable
feasibility study stage with a view to re-commencing mining operations in the
short term.



Additionally, the Company holds a 36.2% interest in ASX listed Extract Resources
Limited, which is focused on uranium exploration. Its key project is the Husab
uranium project in Namibia where results from an ongoing drilling programme
reinforce the Company's belief that the area has a strong potential to host an
economic uranium deposit.
