Merger Update

Office of Fair Trading
03 August 2006

Merger Update:

'The OFT has today accepted a variation to the undertakings given by National
Express Group PLC when it acquired Prism Rail PLC. The variation removes the
price cap on fares on the London-Stansted coach service operated by National
Express Group PLC. The proposed variation was published on the OFT's website for
public consultation on 5 July 2006. No alterations were required to the
variation following the expiry of the consultation period. The text of this
decision and the signed variation will be placed on the Office of Fair Trading's
website at www.oft.gov.uk with links from the Office's Weekly Gazette and
Competition Bulletin as soon as is reasonably practicable.'
