                             TNS appoints new director


Taylor Nelson Sofres plc (TNS) is pleased to announce that Pedro Ros joins the
board, with immediate effect, as Managing Director - Global Clients and Sectors.


In this newly created role, Pedro Ros will be responsible for the global account
and specialist sector activities of the TNS custom business.  Age 44, Pedro has
worked in a variety of positions within the syndicated and custom business of
TNS since joining the group in 1985.  Most recently he has had responsibility
for the Southern Europe, Middle East & Africa and Latin America regions.


Commenting on the appointment, Chief Executive David Lowden said, "This
board-level appointment reinforces our client-focused approach, as we place
increased emphasis on servicing our major, multi-national clients through our
expertise in their business sectors.  Pedro has had a broad range of experience
within TNS and brings to the board significant international skills within
market research."
