                            Appointment of Director

The Directors of Greenchip are pleased to announce that Dr Giap Wang Chong will
be appointed to the board as a non-executive director with effect from 1st
August 2005.

Dr Chong, aged 39, is a physician with over 20 years experience in the
healthcare industry. He is a director of Phytopharm plc and previously was chief
executive officer of Osmetech plc. Prior to these appointments he has held
positions with Arthur D Little, leading initiatives on UK Healthcare, Glaxo
Wellcome plc and Smith Kline Beecham plc. where he was responsible for corporate
and global commercial strategy issues. He has been a pharmaceutical analyst with
Cannacord Capital (Europe) Ltd.

He holds a medical degree from King's College, London and is a Council member of
the Royal Society of Medicine's Pharmaceutical Medicine & Research Section. In
addition Dr Chong holds an MBA from the London Business School.

In accordance with paragraph (f) of Schedule 2 of the AIM Rules Dr Chong's past
and present directorships over the past five years are listed below:

Current

Phytopharm plc
Wangi Limited (non-trading)
30 Vincent Square Management Limited (non-trading)

Past

Osmetech plc

There are no other matters which require disclosure under paragraph (f) of
Schedule 2 of the AIM Rules.

Commenting on the appointment, Colin Hill, Chairman of Greenchip, said "I am
delighted that Dr Wang Chong has agreed to join the Company at this time. I
believe that his very considerable business and commercial experience,
particularly in the public company arena, will be invaluable in assisting us in
identifying and evaluating prospective acquisition targets within the defined
