Change of name of subsidiaries
Qonnectis plc ('Qonnectis' or 'the Company'), the telematics and IT services
provider to the utility and business energy user markets, announces that it has
changed the names of certain key operating subsidiaries. The purpose of this
exercise is to take advantage of the growth in opportunities in the industry and
to clarify the branding of its operating businesses to its two main customer
segments - utilities and business energy users.
Qonnectis Networks Ltd is the new name for Now! Networks Ltd, which focuses on
the provision of Qonnectis' communications and software technology directly to
energy and water utilities and other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs)
wishing to integrate the Company's technology.
myUtility Ltd is the new name for WebOrator Ltd which focuses on saving business
energy and water consumers money by providing information services using
Qonnectis' technology and its 'www.myMeter.info' solution to remotely monitor
and reduce their water/energy consumption and bills.
Michael Tapia, Chief Executive of Qonnectis plc, commented:
'We have seen a sharp increase in the level of enquiries post flotation and
clearly, with regard to new business generation, it is important for the Company
to capitalise on the growing customer awareness of the Qonnectis brand. It is
therefore appropriate to change the operating companies' names to take advantage
of the opportunity to promote additional service offerings to our key utility
and business energy clients.
'At NEMEX 2005, in May 2005, we saw further significant interest in our products
and we are confident that we can convert a number of these enquiries into orders
in due course.'
