Taylor Nelson Sofres

AGM Statement

Taylor Nelson Sofres PLC
12 May 2004

For release at 07.00 12 May 2004

Extract from the Chairman's AGM statement

At today's annual general meeting Tony Cowling, Chairman of Taylor Nelson Sofres
plc (TNS), will say:

"Our views on market developments and TNS' 2004 performance remain unchanged
from those indicated at the time of our results announcement in March. We
continue to see a gradual improvement in the US and European markets and Asia
Pacific remains buoyant. Overall, we continue to believe that the worldwide
market for market information will grow by 3 to 4 per cent in 2004 and we expect
the group to achieve underlying revenue growth, for the full year, broadly in
line with that of the market. Our order book position at the end of April
supports our confidence in the revenue performance for the year as a whole.

"Following the acquisition of NFO Worldgroup, Inc. in July 2003, the integration
in Asia and North America is complete and we are in the process of merging the
two businesses in Europe. This is proceeding according to plan, with cost
synergies being achieved as expected. As the integration process approaches its
end, our focus is increasingly on realising the revenue opportunities available
to the enlarged group.

"In line with our normal practice, we will issue a trading update in early July,
ahead of our interim results announcement on 6 September 2004."
