                          Contract Announcement

Universal Salvage plc ("Universal") is pleased to announce that  it  has
secured  a  contract  with  Toyota (GB) PLC  ("Toyota")  to  handle  the
disposal  of its End of Life Vehicles ("ELVs"). The contract is  for  an
initial three-year term, starting with immediate effect.

Universal  will be responsible for providing the network  of  Authorised
Treatment Facilities ("ATF") through which Toyota and Lexus ELVs will be
decontaminated  and disposed of. This process will  be  carried  out  in
accordance with the new environmental rules, which will be enforced from
1 February 2004.

With  its network of sites, its national infrastructure and its  ability
to  provide an electronic audit trail in the disposal process, Universal
is  able  to  offer motor manufacturers a unique solution  to  meet  the
legislative  requirements  under  the  European  End  of  Life  Vehicles
Directive.

Universal is currently in negotiation to provide a similar service to  a
number of other motor manufacturers.
