       Taylor Nelson Sofres strengthens media intelligence services in UK

Taylor Nelson Sofres, a world leader in market information, has agreed to
acquire the broadcast division of BMC News and will combine the division's
activities with those of TNS Tellex, creating one of the UK's premier broadcast
monitoring specialists. The acquisition will build on the group's existing media
intelligence activities in 20 countries, where it provides advertising
expenditure tracking; creative advertising, media strategy and news monitoring;
together with sports sponsorship evaluation.

The broadcast division of BMC monitors TV and radio stations nationwide,
providing news monitoring and editorial services to a wide range of clients.
Currently owned by the Xtreme Group, it had turnover of £1.9 million for the
year ended 31 December 2001 and net assets of
£0.3 million at that date. Completion is dependent upon obtaining UK regulatory
