       Taylor Nelson Sofres builds on its media tracking services in US

Taylor Nelson Sofres, a world leader in market information, has acquired
Adscope, a provider of advertising tracking services in the US. The
acquisition further strengthens its existing activities in this area.

Established in 1981, Adscope is based in Oregon and will be run as a division
of CMR, the largest provider of strategic advertising tracking services in the
US, acquired by Taylor Nelson Sofres in June last year. Adscope provides
continuous monitoring of business-to-business advertising expenditure,
primarily for high-technology publications. Its clients include advertisers,
publishers, media buyers and advertising agencies and the company tracks
nearly US$7 billion in advertising expenditure annually.

Adscope's turnover for the year ended 31 December 2000 was US$1.0 million and
net assets at that date were US$14,000. It employs 18 people and is currently
wholly owned by its president, who will remain with the business.
