Issue of Equity, etc

West 175 Media Group Inc
6 July 2000

Share Placing Raises £1.5m for the Company

West 175 Media Group Inc ('West 175' or the 'Company'), the lifestyle media
group listed on AIM, announces that Altium Capital Limited, its Nominated
Broker, has today successfully placed 772,500 new ordinary shares with
institutional clients at 200p per share, raising £1.5m net of expenses for the
Company.

This fund raising will be used to bring our total interest in Actrix Networks
('Actrix') to 60% and completes our cash requirements for its purchase.
Actrix is an established and profitable ISP in New Zealand. This placing
follows the original announcement of the acquisition at the Group's AGM on
November 4th 1999 and an earlier fund raising on 19th April 2000.

Commenting, Rohan Courtney, Chairman of West 175:

'We are delighted to have raised further funds in a difficult market to assist
West 175 in further developing our internet activities, which are central to
our e commerce business. Actrix is a well-established internet service
provider and the tie up with West 175 is both logical and timely. We believe
that the fund raising underlines the market's confidence in West 175 and
endorses our strategy.'

Application has been made for the new ordinary shares issued pursuant to this
placing, which will rank pari passu in all respects with the Company's
existing ordinary shares, to be admitted to trading on AIM. Admission will
become effective and dealings are expected to commence at 8.00am on 12th July,
2000.
