APPOINTMENT OF FINANCE DIRECTOR

London, 28th June 2000 - e-comsport group plc ('e-comsport'), the sports new
media company, announces the appointment of John Withers as Finance Director
with immediate effect.

Mr Withers, aged 45, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in
England and Wales and was previously Corporate Development Director of IBC
Group plc (now Informa Group Plc), the listed business information and
education group which merged with LLP Group plc in December 1998.  Prior to
IBC Group, where he progressed through roles as Group Tax Manager, Group
Financial Controller and Deputy Finance Director, Mr Withers held senior tax
advisory roles with accountancy firms Finnie & Co. and Clark Whitehill.  He
qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1979.

Commenting on the appointment, Alan Montgomery, Chief Executive of 
e-comsport, said:

'John's appointment completes our senior management team and brings
considerable public company experience and financial control expertise to the
Board.  His time at IBC Group saw a busy period of growth and acquisitions
both in the UK and around the globe, and this will be of particular value to
us as we build e-comsport's international positioning in sports new media
content.'

Matters to be disclosed under Rule 16.8(e) of the Alternative Investment
Market are:

John Martin Withers has no unspent convictions in relation to indictable
offences, has not been declared bankrupt nor has he been a director of any
company which, during his time as a director or, within 12 months following
his resignation as a director, has gone into receivership or liquidation.  Nor
has he been subject to any public criticisms by statutory or regulatory
bodies.
