              Taylor Nelson Sofres expands consumer services in UK
Taylor Nelson Sofres, a world leader in market information, announces that it
has entered into a joint venture agreement with Information Resources (Nasdaq
IRIC), to purchase Radar Retail Research and Research Deliveries (Radar), one
of the UK's foremost test marketing businesses.

Established in 1981, Radar conducts in-store product performance testing
services in key fmcg retailers.  Its clients include many of the major fmcg
manufacturers and retailers.

Taylor Nelson Sofres is purchasing 60 per cent of Radar and will have
management control, with Information Resources acquiring the remaining 40 per
cent.  John Burke, Senior Partner of Radar, will continue to manage the
company, which had a turnover in the year to 30 June 1999 of £1.1 million and
net assets at that date of under £0.1 million.

'Market testing is a natural part of our consumer business.  We already have
considerable experience in the market testing arena in France and this move
extends our expertise in the UK,'  said Mike Kirkham, Executive Director of
Taylor Nelson Sofres.   'Through this joint venture we will link our extensive
knowledge of both continuous and customised research with Radar's established
testing business and Information Resources' retail-based analytics - providing
a powerful tool to our strong fmcg client base.'
