Subsidiary Acquires Rada Recruitment Comm's

Walter Thompson acquires UK recruitment communications business WPP announces that its wholly-owned recruitment and employee communications subsidiary, JWT Specialized Communications Limited, has acquired the business and assets of Rada Recruitment Communications Limited ('Rada'), a UK firm specialising in the recruitment, property and education markets. London-based Rada, which will change its name to JWT Specialized Communications, is one of the leading recruitment communications companies in the UK with a blue chip client list. The company, which employs 50 people, had revenues of £3million in 1998 and net assets of £70,000 at 31 December 1998. As a result of the acquisition, UK clients will have access to an expanded range of recruitment services including new media and web-related employment services.
