Board Change

Gerard Connell, Group Finance Director and Executive Board member, has decided to step down as Group Finance Director, a position he has held for 10 years, to pursue other career interests in line with his longer term career plans.

The Board would like to thank Gerard for his very significant contribution to Wincanton and wish him well for the future.

The Board is pleased to announce that Jon Kempster will join Wincanton as the Group Finance Director and Executive Board member with effect from 22 July 2010.  Jon was previously Finance Director at Delta plc and prior to that was Group Finance Director at Low and Bonar plc. 

Gerard will ensure a smooth handover with his successor by remaining with the business up to the Company's Annual General Meeting on 21 July 2010.

As announced on 10 June 2010, Wincanton produced a robust performance through recession for the year ended 31 March 2010.  We look to the future with confidence, with leading positions in growth markets and focused on driving returns from our significant investment in new sectors and services.
