Launch of New Credit Facility

Vodafone AirTouch PLC 11 February 2000 VODAFONE AIRTOUCH LAUNCHES Euro 25 BILLION SYNDICATED LOAN FACILITY Vodafone AirTouch Plc ('Vodafone AirTouch') announces today that it has launched the syndication of its Euro 25 billion (previously Euro 30 billion) senior credit facility to potential sub-underwriters in connection with its recommended Offer for Mannesmann AG. In December 1999 a Euro 30 billion facility was successfully underwritten by 11 arranging banks comprising ABN AMRO Bank N.V., Bank of America International Limited, Banque Nationale de Paris, Barclays Capital, Citibank, Goldman Sachs International, Greenwich NatWest Limited, ING Bank N.V., National Australia Bank Limited, Toronto Dominion Bank Europe Limited and Warburg Dillon Read. Following the issue of Vodafone AirTouch's $5.25 billion global bond on 7 February 2000, the overall amount of the bank facility has been reduced to Euro 25 billion. The lowering of the overall amount of the facility has been accommodated through the reduction of the Euro 15 billion short-term 364-day with six-month term out option revolving credit to Euro 10 billion. Other elements of the financing include a Euro 7.5 billion 364-day revolving credit with one-year term out option and a Euro 7.5bn three-year revolving credit.
