VODAFONE AIRTOUCH PLC 16 July 1999 VODAFONE AIRTOUCH PLC EURO MEDIUM TERM NOTE PROGRAMME Vodafone AirTouch Plc has today signed a Euro 5 billion Euro Medium Term Note Programme. The programme will provide Vodafone AirTouch Plc with a flexible and efficient mechanism for capital market funding in the euromarkets. It will be used for general corporate purposes including the refinancing of bank and other debt. Notes issued under the programme will carry a rating of A2 from Moody's Investors Service Limited and A from Standard & Poor's Ratings Services. The dealers for the programme are Barclays Capital, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs International, Greenwich NatWest, HSBC Markets, J. P. Morgan Securities Ltd., Salomon Smith Barney International and Warburg Dillon Read and the programme was arranged by Greenwich NatWest. On 30 June 1999, Vodafone Group Plc and AirTouch Communications, Inc. merged and Vodafone Group Plc was renamed Vodafone AirTouch Plc. At this date the combined company had interests in 23 countries with approximately 28 million proportionate customers (excluding paging customers), making it the world's largest mobile telecommunications group.
