Voting Rights and Capital

Further to the announcement made on 6 December 2006 and in conformity with the
Transparency Directive's transitional provision 6 we would like to notify the
market of the following:

SIG plc's capital consists of 123,107,361 ordinary shares of 10p each with
voting rights. SIG plc holds no ordinary shares in Treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in SIG plc is 123,107,361.

The above figure (123,107,361) may be used by shareholders as the denominator
for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify
their interest in, or a change to their interest in, SIG plc under the FSA's
Disclosure and Transparency.
