Director Retirement

At the Annual General Meeting held 19th June 2002, Sir Malcolm Field, non-
executive director, retired by rotation, and did not seek re-election.

Ian Kirkham, Chairman of Walker Greenbank PLC, thanked Sir Malcolm for his
valued contribution over the past five years, saying 'his wise counsel will be
greatly missed and we wish him well in his retirement.'
