Ross Group PLC 22 March 2000 Ross Group PLC As indicated in the circular to shareholders dated 2 March 2000 ('the Circular'), Ross Group PLC ('the Company') has been reviewing its current property portfolio and in particular the premises at Giltpack Building, Nutsey Lane, Totton, Southampton ('the Property'). On 21 March 2000, the Company exchanged contracts with Millbrook Bedding Limited under which the Company will sell the Property for a total consideration of £600,000. Completion under the contract will be upon the Property being available with vacant possession, at a time to be notified by the Company after the end of April 2000 but before the end of December 2000. Since the sale of Giltpack Packaging Limited by the Company in December last year, the Property has been surplus to the ongoing requirements of the Company. As at the end of December 1999, the Property had a net book value of £848,000 indicating a loss on sale of £248,000. This diminution in value was taken into account by the Company in preparing the loss estimate for the Company, included within the Circular. The net proceeds from the sale will be used to reduce the bank debt of the Company and the Company believes that the sale is in the best interests of the Company and its shareholders.
