At the AGM meeting held today, Timothy Barker, Chairman, said:

'In our preliminary results for the year ended 31 December 2003, I said that I
believed net fee income for the first quarter 2004 would be in excess of that
achieved in 2003.  In the event, net fee income for the first quarter 2004 at
£14.4 million was 15.7% above that achieved for the same period in 2003.  The UK
and Asia Pacific have shown good growth whilst markets in Continental Europe
remain difficult.  Overall, the market improvement experienced in the first
quarter has continued into the second quarter and we have recruited some
additional staff since the year-end.'
