Five time the number of Reckitt Benckiser Holdings B.V. 'A' shares have been included in the calculations of the weighted average number of shares, in order to present the effect of the shareholders' agreement, under the terms of which the position of the holder of Reckitt Benckiser Holdings B.V. 'A' shares is in substance the same as if it held five new Reckitt Benckiser shares for every Reckitt Benckiser Holdings B.V. 'A' share held. Similarly, five times the number of outstanding Benckiser N.V. 'B' shares have been included in the calculations of the weighted average number of shares, as it is expected that these shares will be converted into Reckitt Benckiser shares in due course.
