Rathbone Brothers Plc
Annual General Meeting
At the twenty ninth Annual General Meeting of Rathbone
Brothers Plc, held today, Wednesday 10th May 2000, all the
Resolutions were duly passed.
Addressing the AGM, Micky Ingall, Chairman, commented on
developments within the Group, since the announcement of
results for the year ended 31 December 1999:
'The acquisition of Nigel Harris Trust Company Limited, which
is based in Jersey, was announced shortly after the
publication of our results for 1999. This acquisition has now
been successfully completed and it will add significantly to
the contribution of the Trust Division and we welcome Paul
Egerton-Vernon and his colleagues to the Group.
In our main investment management division, Rathbone
Investment Management Limited, I am pleased to report a strong
flow of new discretionary funds from both Private Clients and
from Charities in addition to the new business being won by
Rathbone Unit Trust Management Limited.
The prospects for the year 2000 remain good and I look forward
to another year of solid progress.'
