Technology Agreement

Screen PLC 18 October 2000 Screen Plc: TECHNOLOGY AGREEMENT Screen Plc ('Screen'), the leading provider of mobile data communication, and command & control systems, announces a technology agreement between its Petards Mobile Intelligence subsidiary ('Petards') and Citysync Ltd, the Automated Number Plate Recognition ('ANPR') specialist, to provide exclusive access to their technology. The agreement allows exclusive use of the in-car ANPR software with Petards existing mobile data and video surveillance systems allowing police to recognise and scan number plates in under a fraction of a second. The mobile unit can communicate with its own on-board database, as well as with a police central computer to scan for 'wanted' number plates. The integrated system will work together with Screen's in-car video surveillance technology, ProVida, which provides footage for the UK weekly television programme Police, Camera, Action.
