Persimmon PLC 6 November 2000 Board Changes Persimmon, one of the UK's leading housebuilders, having successfully implemented its recent regional reorganisation, announces changes to its Main Board to position the group for continued growth. Mike Allen (Deputy Chairman), Brian Taylor (Non-executive director) and Harry Littlefair (Non-executive director) will all retire from the Board on 31st December 2000. Their combined service to Persimmon spans over 52 years. Duncan Davidson, Chairman and founder of Persimmon, will one year later become non-executive Chairman on 31st December 2001. Geoff Grewer (Company Secretary) will retire from the Main Board on 31st December 2001. The changes to the executive team reflect the successful implementation of the new divisional structure announced earlier this year. Following these changes, the Main Board will comprise five executive directors led by John White as Chief Executive and four non-executive directors under Duncan Davidson as Chairman. Commenting on the changes, Duncan Davidson stated: 'The Board would like to thank each of Mike Allen, Brian Taylor and Harry Littlefair for their significant contributions to the development of Persimmon.
