Biotage launches the Isolera™ Dalton

Official launch of an integrated purification system featuring Microsaic's MiD®

4 June 2013: Microsaic Systems plc (AIM: MSYS), welcomes the official launch by Biotage AB (Uppsala, Sweden), a leading global supplier of laboratory equipment, of the Isolera™ Dalton, a fully integrated system for Flash chromatography and mass identification incorporating Microsaic's novel miniature mass spectrometer - the Microsaic MiD®.

The Isolera™ Dalton seamlessly integrates the Microsaic MiD® with Biotage's flagship Flash purification system Isolera™ to enable a chemist to identify compounds by mass in real-time during Flash separation. By integrating separation with mass identification the system removes complex off-line analytical steps and can significantly increase throughput for the user.

Colin Jump, Chief Executive of Microsaic Systems, commented:

"One of Microsaic's key strategic aims is to grow sales of our innovative products through OEM partnerships so today's launch by Biotage of the Isolera™ Dalton incorporating our MiD® mass spectrometer represents an important milestone for the Company. The launch of the Isolera™ Dalton follows the announcement earlier this year of our second OEM agreement for the marketing and sale of the MiD® as a stand-alone instrument, demonstrating the excellent progress we are making towards delivering on our strategy. Discussions with further potential partners and customers are on-going, and convince us there is significant additional demand for our product across multiple application areas and formats, and we look forward to announcing further progress in due course."
