Notice of Mercia Fund Management AGM

Mercia Technologies PLC (AIM: MERC, "Mercia"), a Midlands-based investment group building, funding and commercialising technology businesses in the UK, announces that Mercia Fund Management Ltd ("MFM"), its wholly-owned subsidiary and a regulated fund management company, will hold its Annual General Meeting in respect of its third party funds under management at 5.30pm today, 21 January 2016, at the Ramada Warwick Hotel & Conference Centre, Kenilworth, CV8 2LN.

MFM manages seven funds with a total of circa £28m under management, through which Mercia has access over time to a portfolio of potential emerging stars for its direct investment activity. Ian Livingstone, Founder of the Games Workshop franchise, will be the guest speaker, and three portfolio companies - Aston Eyetech, Edge Case Games and Intelligent Health - will be presenting at the AGM. Mercia holds a direct investment in Edge Case Games.

The company presentations will be available on Mercia's website (www.merciatechnologies.com).

This event brings our existing private and public investors together with our advisers, university partners and portfolio companies across the Mercia group. There will be no material information presented that is not already in the public domain.

Note to editors

Mercia creates, funds and develops technology businesses nationally with an emphasis on the Midlands, the North of England and Scotland. The Group facilitates technology transfer, company formation, incubation, commercialisation and investment, with approximately 50% of its investments being university spinouts. Mercia invests across technology sectors in which it has deep sector expertise.

The Mercia model is one of patiently nurturing businesses via its third party funds under management and then scaling them with direct investments at the point of commercial traction. Through this, Mercia has a well seeded portfolio and pipeline of investments - its 'emerging stars'.
