                  STATEMENT CONCERNING RECENT PRESS COMMENT

PMI has observed that on 11 December 2001 the Daily Mail printed an article
concerning PMI's PhotoPlanet Project which attributed various statements to
PMI.  Unfortunately, the statements in that article were not made by an
authorised PMI  representative, and are incorrect in important respects and
misleading.   PMI has never abandoned the PhotoPlanet Project and the issues
concerning the Project are currently a matter of legal dispute.
