Jubilee Platinum PLC 23 September 2004 23 September 2004 AIM: JLP Jubilee Platinum PLC ('Jubilee' or 'the Company') Appointment of Malcolm Burne as Non-Executive Chairman Appointment of Chris Molefe, Chief Executive of Royal Bafokeng Resources, as Non-Executive Director The Jubilee Board is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Malcolm Burne, a Director of the Company, as Non Executive Chairman and the appointment of Mr Chris Molefe as a Non Executive Director, with immediate effect. Mr Burne takes over the role from previous Chairman Mr Stephen Kearney, who passed away in April 2004. A former stockbroker and financial journalist with the Financial Times, Malcolm (60) has controlled and managed fund management, venture capital and investment banking companies in Australia, Hong Kong and North America, as well as the UK. Malcolm has been a Director of over 20 companies, many of which have been in the mineral resources and gold exploration fields. In addition, he was Executive Chairman of the Australian Bullion Company (Pty) Ltd., Australia's leading gold dealer and member of the Sydney Futures Exchange. He is Executive Chairman of Golden Prospect Plc (AIM: GOL) and is a Non Executive Director of several other quoted resource companies in London, Australia and Canada. Chris Molefe (56) is the Chief Executive of Royal Bafokeng Resources (Pty) Ltd ('RBR') and has held several positions in Corporate Banking and industry for the previous 20 years. RBR manages the Royal Bafokeng Nation's mining and mining-related interests, currently comprising platinum group metals, chrome and granite resources. As Chief Executive Officer of RBR, Chris serves on the Anglo Platinum joint venture Rasimone Mines operating committee and is Non Executive Chairman of SA Chrome Ltd, a publicity listed company in South Africa.
