Telme.Com PLC 12 January 2001 TelMe.com and Galileo International sign exclusive agreement set to impact UK on-line travel marketplace Galileo International and TelMe.com to sell complete on-line travel offering package The travel software and Internet division of TelMe.com plc and Galileo International, Inc. (NYSE: GLC), a global travel distribution services leader, are today announcing they have entered an agreement for Galileo International to market TelMe.com's Ticket Window suite of online travel products. Ticket Window Internet and Ticket Window Corporate will be marketed internationally, initially in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The agreement has resulted in the development of a complete online travel package offering which Galileo International and TelMe.com will begin to provide to their existing clients and new prospects immediately. Under the terms of the agreement, Galileo International has agreed to distribute TelMe's products to all Galileo markets within EMEA, targeting travel agents; corporate companies; affiliates and fulfilment agencies, which are making use of or intend to make use of the Galileo Computerised Reservation System (CRS). Galileo International will market the following offerings as 'Galileo International Approved': the Ticket Window Internet flight booking engine; Ticket Window Corporate its corporate booking tools and its private fares database. TelMe generates revenue from the distribution of Ticket Window by charging software license fees and transactional based royalties. This agreement is part of Galileo International's electronic commerce strategy of enabling travel agents and others through many points of presence on the Web. TelMe.com plc has agreed to use and offer the Galileo system as the CRS behind its offerings in the UK, the Middle East, Southern Africa and a number of European countries(1). TelMe has also agreed to market the Galileo system in other countries. 'Powered by Galileo' will be flashed up on all screens where access to the Galileo system is provided by TelMe's products. TelMe.com will provide sales training to Galileo International staff and will provide front line support to customers. The two companies will develop marketing activities. TelMe and Galileo International have also devised a fast track implementation schedule to ensure customers 'go live' as soon as possible.
