365 Corporation PLC 19 April 2000 GRANADA AND 365 CORPORATION EXTEND STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP Granada Media interactive (GMi), the online advertising division of Granada Group PLC ('Granada'), has brokered a commercial partnership between Granada and leading digital content provider 365 Corporation plc ('365'). This mutually beneficial multi-million pound deal will generate new revenues for both parties and extends the relationship between Granada and 365 which originated with the creation by 365 of the ITV Rugby World Cup web-site in 1999 and the subsequent ITV Six Nations web-site earlier this year. The fully integrated multi-media package, starting immediately, runs until May 2001. The partnership will provide extensive site profile and banner advertising coverage for 365's content and services across both web-based and on-air Granada properties, such as on itv-f1.com. It will also feature television on- air advertising alongside the itv-f1.com URL on Granada Sky Broadcasting. 365 will provide dedicated editorial content for GMi sites, including football and Formula 1. Furthermore 365, with its strong audiotext experience and skills, will also manage interactive telecom services for a number of Granada programme and promotional opportunities to be broadcast across the ITV network. The existing customer base of the joint venture partners provides the initial target for 365's marketing efforts. On 29 February 2000, 365 acquired the entire issued capital of Fenfones Communications Limited, an established telephone systems supplier located in Newmarket serving the SME market. Total consideration paid was £4,520,000. On the same day, 365 acquired the 50% shareholding in Datacom Networks Limited (a joint venture) owned by Fenfones for £500,000. The formation of equity joint ventures with telecom system dealers, and acquisition of Fenfones, underlines 365's strategy of securing distribution and long-term customer retention though partnership with, or ownership of, the telephone system supply channel. The telephone system represents the key product around which value-added telecommunication and internet services can be developed and sold to SME customers.
