CHEMRING GROUP PLC ('Chemring' or the 'Company')


Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and to the London Stock
Exchange for admission to the Official List for the block listing of 269,000
ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company.  These shares, which rank pari passu
with the existing ordinary shares in issue, may be issued from time to time
pursuant to awards made under The Chemring 1998 Executive Share Option Scheme.
It is expected that admission will become effective on 16 March 2005.
