On 7 July 1999, as announced at the company's annual general meeting held on the
same date, Mr Paul Forster resigned as a non executive director of the company
and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee. Mr Robert Youngjohns, another non
executive director of the company, was appointed Chairman of the Remuneration
Committee in succession to Mr Forster.
