Rightster Partners With Sony Music Entertainment For 'Paloma Face' YouTube Project

Rightster Group plc (AIM: RSTR), the global online video distribution and monetisation network, today announces a partnership with Sony Music Entertainment to celebrate the release of Paloma Faith's new album, A Perfect Contradiction - Outsiders' Edition.

Under the terms of the partnership agreement, Rightster will work with Sony Music Entertainment to produce a beauty tutorial Google Hangout event, Paloma Face, which takes place on Friday, 21st November at 6:30pm GMT. The event will see Paloma Faith team up with six of her favourite YouTube beauty bloggers from around the world including Nikkie Tutorials with over an estimated 600,000 subscribers and Dolly Bow Bow with over an estimated 200,000 subscribers.

During the Google Hangout event, Paloma will chat to the YouTubers about beauty tips and answer questions from fans on the hashtag #PalomaFace. The six YouTube beauty bloggers will then create their own interpretations of the six characters from the cover artwork of Paloma's new album. The resulting branded video tutorials will then be hosted on each bloggers' YouTube channels.

The Rightster directors believe that the partnership with Sony further highlights Rightster's credentials as a network-agnostic producer of branded entertainment.

Charlie Muirhead, Founder and CEO, Rightster, commented: "We are delighted to partner with Sony Music Entertainment on such an innovative project. Sony Music's talent combined with Rightster's relationship with influential beauty stars, and our reach and technical abilities, is a powerful example of how to reach a global engaged audience."

Carina Grace, Vice President International Marketing, Sony Music Entertainment, commented: "We are very excited about this opportunity to build the relationship between the vibrant YouTube community and Paloma Faith, an artist who is known for her strong, visually led campaigns. We are looking forward to seeing the #PalomaFace interpretations of A Perfect Contraction by our new YouTube friends from around the world."

Paloma Faith added: "I'm really excited to have the chance to connect with all my fellow beauty fans on such a fun project. I can't wait to see all the interpretations of my characters, and I hope everyone will give it a go at home - let's get creative!"

Earlier this month Rightster also announced partnerships with Formula E, the world's first fully-electric racing series, and Lehren Networks, one of the most popular media and entertainment networks devoted to India's film industry.

Under the terms of the partnership with Formula E, Rightster will manage Formula E's YouTube channel with a particular focus on channel and rights management, social media amplification, programming support and cross-promotion across the relevant channels in Rightster's network. The partnership will aim to attract a younger audience, specifically between the ages of 16 and 24, to the new sport.

Under the terms of the partnership with Lehren Networks, Rightster will provide complete audience development and monetisation support to Lehren Networks' entire network of entertainment YouTube channels, which includes celebrity, movie, kids and musical verticals. The Rightster directors understand that Lehren Networks has achieved 1 billion views on YouTube to date and adds approximately 3 million video views per day on the platform.
