Forbidden Technologies PLC 19 April 2001 FORBIDDEN TECHNOLOGIES PLC Result of Annual General Meeting Appointment of Non-Executive Director At today's AGM, Vic Steel, Chairman of Forbidden Technologies plc ('Forbidden' or 'the Company') which is creating new technology for video distribution over the internet, made the following comments: 'This has been an excellent year for the company the highlight of which came in February through the launch of the initial product enabling video playback over the internet at high resolution, full frame rate and large screen size. This is demonstrated by the latest video on our web site at http:// www.forbidden.co.uk 'We have received a high level of interest from a diverse range of video production companies, as well as web designers and video content providers. This I believe is a clear indication of the need for an effective method of delivering high quality video via typical internet connections. 'Our product development rate is a continuous process and our technology continues to be improved at the rate of approximately 2.5% per week, in terms of data compression rate. Playback is now achievable across a wide range of home computers using a standard 56k modem. 'The commercialisation process has commenced and further announcements will be made shortly.' Appointment of David Main as Non Executive Director. Forbidden Technologies is delighted to announce the proposed appointment of Mr David Peter Main as Non Executive Director. Mr Main, age 42, brings a wealth of retail marketing experience to the Board of Forbidden. Notably, he held a key board position with GUS Home Shopping the largest home shopping company in the UK with £1.8bn of sales and £500m in European sales. His responsibility included building the internet shopping service. Since leaving GUS last year, he set up an internet based business to business company focusing on premium retail and branded companies. Mr Main also currently operates in a consultancy role to a range of technology orientated projects. Importantly, Mr Main's strength lies in his knowledge of software product development and the ability to bring such products to commercial reality. He has significant experience not only in Europe but also in the US. Past directorships within the last five years are: GUS Home Shopping Limited, Gus Finance Limited, GUS Printers Limited, Bezign Limited. There are no details to be disclosed pursuant to Schedule 2, rule (f) (iii) - (viii) of the AIM rules in respect of David Peter Main.
