AGM Statement

Bango PLC 12 July 2006 BANGO PLC ('Bango' or the 'Company') AGM Statement Bango will today be holding its Annual General Meeting in London, at which Ray Anderson, CEO of Bango will make the following statement in relation to the performance of the business: 'Trading in the first few months of the year has progressed well with Bango bucking the trend hitting other businesses in the mobile content sector. End user spend in the UK for the first quarter of this financial year was over 50% higher than for the same quarter last year. End user spend in the rest of the world this quarter was over five times higher than the same quarter last year. 'The demand from consumers for a more transparent means of payment for mobile content is driving the uptake of our services by content providers who wish to offer the 'browse-and-buy' model and pay per download as opposed to subscription services. 'We continue to gain momentum as more leading brands such as World Wrestling Entertainment, a global entertainment brand, and Capcom and CodeMasters, two leading games publishers, sign up to using the Bango Service. 'Our market leading technology, robust platform, geographic spread and partnerships with industry leaders such as PayPal and mBlox means that we believe Bango is uniquely well positioned to benefit from the continued growth in the mobile internet.' This 'direct-to-consumer' approach operates alongside the mobile operator's mobile portal. Leading mobile operators including Cingular Wireless, Vodafone, Orange, Telefonica and O2 work with Bango to accelerate the growth of their 'direct-to-consumer' business. The Bango platform has given mobile phone subscribers around the world greater access to third-party content. Leading content providers and brands are now adopting the Bango Service to sell their mobile content directly to phone users on any network using the mobile internet. They have their own mobile sites, outside of the operator's portals, and integrate with Bango's browse-and-buy technology to sell content to phone users world-wide. Bango technology enables content discovery and identification so providers can customize the user experience and payment. For further information, go to www.bango.com.
