Local Government Software Businesses Acquired

Anite Group PLC 5 January 2000 ANITE GROUP PAYS £2.2 MILLION FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT SOFTWARE BUSINESSES Anite Group plc (the 'Company'), the IT consultancy, software and services business, announces that its wholly owned subsidiary, IMASYS Local Government Limited, has acquired part of the Local Government Solutions business of Bull Information Systems Limited (comprising the OHMS Business, the OFMS Business and the ORBiS Business) for a purchase price of £2.2m in cash payable on completion. The combined sales of these businesses in the year to 31 December 1998 were £4.2m with a loss before tax of £71,000. The OHMS business provides software applications for housing departments, the ORBiS business provides solutions for the collection of council tax and payments of benefits and the OFMS business provides integrated financial management systems for local authorities. Together with the purchase of ORBiS development group of Business Computer Technology Ltd announced on 6th December 1999, these businesses further extend Anite's comprehensive offering of innovative software solutions for local authorities.
