SouthernEra Appoints Senior Vice President and CFO

    TORONTO, April 17 /CNW/ - The Board of SouthernEra Resources Limited

announced today that the Company has appointed Mr. Mark Rosslee to the

position of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

    Mr. Rosslee joins SouthernEra following a 12-year career with De Beers.

He has held a number of senior finance positions within De Beers and served

most recently as Group Financial Manager for Namdeb, an associated De Beers

group company. Prior to joining De Beers, Mr. Rosslee spent six years with

accounting firm Deloitte, Haskin & Sells and four years with South Africa's

Department of Finance. Mr. Rosslee is a Chartered Accountant and a graduate of

the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. He also has a Graduate Diploma

in Mining Engineering.

    SouthernEra's President and CEO, Patrick Evans, said: 'the appointment of

Mark Rosslee, who has broad operational and executive experience with a major

South African mining company, provides SouthernEra with the depth of senior

financial leadership and experience the Company needs as it grows to become a

leading mid-tier producer of platinum group metals and diamonds.'

    Mr. Chris Reynolds, Controller and Secretary, has also been promoted to

the position of Vice President Finance, Controller and Secretary.
