Matrix Income & Growth VCT plc (the Company) INTERIM MANAGEMENT STATEMENT For the quarter ended 30 September 2009 In accordance with Rule 4.3 of the Disclosure and Transparency Rules of the UK Listing Authority, Matrix Income & Growth VCT plc presents an Interim Management Statement for the quarter ended 30 September 2009. The statement also includes relevant financial information between the end of the period and the date of this statement. However, following the end of the quarter the Company made an additional investment of £181,818 into British International Holdings Limited. DIVESTMENTS No divestments were been made during the quarter. However, following the end of the quarter, the Company has fully realised its investment in PastaKing Holdings, the Newton Abbott based award winning supplier of fresh pasta meals to the education sector and industry. The Company's investment in PastaKing was sold to NBGI Private Equity for net proceeds of £1,236k on 14 November 2009. This realisation contributed to total proceeds of £1,506k to the Company over the life of the investment, representing a 3.25 fold gain on the Company's original investment of £464,047 . SHARE BUY-BACKS The Company did not buy-back any of its own Ordinary Shares during the quarter ended 30 September 2009. However, following the end of the quarter the Company has bought back 158,172 of its own Ordinary Shares at a price of 56.52 pence per share.
