Liontrust Asset Management PLC ("the Company") has been notified on 3 January
2007 of dealing in the Company's ordinary shares as follows:

Nigel Legge and Vinay Abrol, directors of the Company, are participants in the
Company's Employee Share Ownership Plan (the "ESOP") and on 3 January 2007 were
allocated 104 ordinary shares and 105 ordinary shares respectively at a price
of 359p per share.

Nigel Legge's total interest following this notification is 895,683 ordinary
shares or 2.64% of the total issued share capital of the Company. Vinay Abrol's
total interest following this notification is 407,603 ordinary shares or 1.20%
of the total issued share capital of the Company.
