                          CHANGE IN COMPANY SECRETARY

The board of directors (the "Board") of Datang International Power Generation
Co., Ltd. (the "Company") announced that since The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong
Limited considered in earlier time that Mr. Zhou Gang ("Mr. Zhou") possesses
the qualification of assuming the position of company secretary of the Company
independently, Mr. Mok Chung Kwan, Stephen ("Mr. Mok") resigned from the
position of joint company secretary of the Company with effect from the date of
approval of his resignation by the Board, i.e., 22 March 2011. The Board would
like to take this opportunity to express its gratitude to Mr. Mok for his
contribution during his service with the Company.

Meanwhile, the Board announced that Mr. Zhou will continue to be the Company
Secretary of the Company.
