                              ANNOUNCEMENT ON CHANGES IN SUPERVISORS 
                              REPRESENTING THE STAFF OF THE COMPANY



The third meeting of the enlarged group leaders (the "Meeting") of the first meeting of the fifth 
session of staff representative meeting of Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd. 
(the "Company") was held on 18 October 2013. It was resolved at the Meeting that Mr. Qiao Xinyi 
would cease to serve as the staff's representative supervisor of the Company (the "Staff 
Representative Supervisor") due to his age. It was unanimously resolved at the Meeting that Ms. Yu 
Meiping would serve as the Staff Representative Supervisor of the eighth session of the supervisory 
committee of the Company, with her term of appointment from 18 October 2013 to 30 June 2016. 

Mr. Qiao Xinyi confirms that he has no disagreement with the board of directors and/or the 
supervisory committee, and there is no matter in respect of his resignation which need to be 
brought to the attention of the shareholders of the Company (the "Shareholders") and The Stock 
Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the "Stock Exchange"). 

The staff of the Company would like to express their gratitude to Mr. Qiao Xinyi for his dutiful 
and responsible work during the term of his service as the Staff Representative Supervisor and 
having safeguarded the interests of the Shareholders and staff.

                                    Biography of Ms. Yu Meiping

Yu Meiping, female, aged 51, started to work in September 1984 and joined the Communist Party of 
China in April 1994. With a bachelor degree, she is a senior economist as well as a senior political 
officer, and currently a Party Committee Member, leader of the discipline inspection team and the 
chairperson of the labour union of the Company. Ms. Yu started to work in the economic committee of 
Xi'an Municipal Government in 1984, and has served as a cadre in the economic research centre of 
Xi'an Municipal Government, the principal staff member of the first supervision bureau of the 
State's Ministry of Supervision, the director of the corporate guidance division of the first 
discipline, inspection and supervision office of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, 
the deputy chief of the corporate supervision bureau of the China Datang Corporation and deputy 
director (Person-in-Charge) of the department of corporate supervision (office of discipline and 
inspection division of the Party Committee) of China Datang Corporation. Ms. Yu has long been 
engaged in roles in relation to discipline, inspection and supervision, and has extensive 
experience in discipline, inspection, supervision and corporate supervision and management.

The term of the appointment of Ms. Yu Meiping is from 18 October 2013 to 30 June 2016. The 
remuneration of Ms. Yu Meiping is determined by her managerial positions in the Company, and 
other than such remuneration she will not be entitled to any subsidies or allowances of acting 
as the Staff Representative Supervisor. As at the date of this announcement, Ms. Yu Meiping does 
not have any interest in the shares of the Company within the meaning of Part XV of the Securities 
and Futures Ordinance, and has not been subjected to any public disciplinary actions or sanctions 
by statutory or regulatory authorities. 

Save as disclosed above, Ms. Yu Meiping has not held any directorship in any public listed 
companies in the past three years and is not connected with any directors, senior management or 
substantial or controlling shareholders (as defined in the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities 
on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the "Listing Rules")) of the Company. 

Save as disclosed above, there are no other matters concerning the appointment of Ms. Yu Meiping 
as the Staff Representative Supervisor that need to be brought to the attention of the Shareholders 
and the Stock Exchange and there are no other matters which shall be disclosed pursuant to Rule 
13.51(2)(h) to (v) of the Listing Rules.
