DISCLOSURE OF INTEREST

The company was notified on 18th October by Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein
Group Limited, an indirect subsidiary of Allianz AG, that Allianz AG and its
subsidiaries now hold a notifiable interest in 9,026,328 ordinary shares of 5p
each in the Company, representing 10.674% of the total shares in issue.
Included in this holding is the interest of Veer Palthe Voute NV which is
interested in 9,012,213 shares representing 10.657% of the shares in issue.
