                  Notifications of interests in shares under section 198 of the Companies Act 1985

On 13 December 2006, Young & Co.'s Brewery, P.L.C. ("Young's") received the
following notifications pursuant to section 198 of the Companies Act 1985:

(1) from Gail Elizabeth Khan

"Following the death of John Allen Young and as a result of my appointment, in
his place, as a trustee of the Young's staff pension scheme and of the Young's
works pension scheme on 7 December 2006, I hereby give you notice pursuant to
section 198 of the Companies Act 1985 that the number of 'A' ordinary shares of
50p each in the capital of Young's ("A Shares") in which I know I was interested
(for the purposes of that section) immediately after the time when the
obligation to make this disclosure arose was:

(A) 226,300 A Shares registered in the name of Chase (GA Group) Nominees
Limited, being A Shares held for the above schemes;

(B) 292 A Shares registered in my name; and

(C) 143 A Shares registered in the name of my husband, Mohammed Shakeel Khan."

(2) from Mohammed Shakeel Khan

"Following the death of John Allen Young and as a result of the appointment of
my wife, Gail Elizabeth Khan, in his place, as a trustee of the Young's staff
pension scheme and of the Young's works pension scheme on 7 December 2006, I
hereby give you notice pursuant to section 198 of the Companies Act 1985 that
the number of 'A' ordinary shares of 50p each in the capital of Young's ("A
Shares") in which I know I was interested (for the purposes of that section)
immediately after the time when the obligation to make this disclosure arose
was:

(A) 226,300 A Shares registered in the name of Chase (GA Group) Nominees
Limited, being A Shares held for the above schemes;

(D) 143 A Shares registered in my name; and

(E) 292 A Shares registered in the name of my wife, Gail Elizabeth Khan."
