Aberdeen Asian Income Fund beats index

Aberdeen Asian Income Fund's net asset value rose by 2.2% on a total return basis in the year to the end of December.
The company says this was in sharp contrast to the 4.8% decline posted by the MSCI All Country Asia Pacific ex-Japan Index.
The share price total return was 2.7% reflecting an increase in the premium to NAV from 1.4% to 2.0% with the share price ending the year at 168.1p.
