Gresham reports significantly higher third quarter profits

Cash management software firm Gresham Computing posted a 500% increase in pre-tax profit for the third quarter to £300,000. In the trading update management sounded a confident tone on outlook while also reporting a 40% increase in revenue for the period to £3.1 million. The company's cash balance stood at £2.7 million as at 30 September 2011 (30 September 2010: £1.4m). Chris Errington, chief executive officer of Gresham, said: 'I am pleased with our performance so far in 2011 and in particular the growth delivered in our core focus area of Real-Time Financial Solutions.'
